Friends Hospitality Group offers a comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to meet the evolving needs of the hospitality industry while inspiring young people to pursue careers in the trade. We emphasize attention to detail and professionalism in everything we do, giving our apprentices the opportunity to broaden their skills through rotations across our different venues, as well as participation in competitions, masterclasses, and educational study trips. By combining tradition with innovation, we provide a unique learning environment where our apprentices can grow both professionally and personally.
Training plan
The apprenticeship program is structured into four six-month phases, with each phase building on the previous one to ensure that apprentices develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve all learning objectives by the end of their apprenticeship.
To give every apprentice the best possible foundation, all apprentices begin their training at Sentralen's main kitchen under the guidance of Tom Victor Gausdal. Here, they work closely with experienced instructors while their training plan is evaluated and tailored to support their individual development.
Following this introduction, apprentices continue with a personalized training plan that includes rotations across different venues within Friends Hospitality Group.
Apprentices are expected to work 40 hours per week in accordance with their agreed working schedule.

Here, you'll build the strong culinary foundation and practical skills you need for a successful career. We work exclusively with the finest ingredients and maintain close relationships with our producers and farmers. Together with our head chefs, you'll regularly visit our suppliers to gain a deeper understanding of the ingredients we use and the people behind them.

Versatility
Our goal is for every apprentice who completes their training with us to graduate with a broad and well-rounded education. We ensure that apprentices gain experience in all the key areas of a professional kitchen, while also offering rotations across our different restaurants. During the program, you'll work with everything from à la carte service and lunch to banquets and breakfast service. As each of our restaurants has its own unique concept, this variety provides valuable experience and a strong advantage for your future career.
